Account Executive Intern

Intern opportunity with a National Integrated Marketing Agency: We are seeking a Summer Intern to learn all about Account Management in our Pittsburgh office and Chicago offices. The Account Executive Intern will assist the account team to manage and support the company’s relationship with the client by helping develop strategic plans, communicating client objectives to internal teams and managing the workflow on all projects. The Account Executive Intern is also responsible for assisting with the weekly client status calls and reports. This is a paid, part-time internship.

Essential Job Duties and Skills:

  • Maintain a dependable system of communication with internal teams and the client, ensuring that information flows between client and agency on an appropriate, timely and regular basis.
  • Assist in managing the work with clients and internal team members on important marketing initiatives, planning meetings, briefs, job scheduling, etc.
  • Work with agency teams to help develop marketing strategies and tactics that ladder directly to client objectives and initiatives.
  • Work with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations, solutions, and decisions.
  • Be passionate about details, and very organized.
  • Help conduct and organize meetings that provide solid strategy, direction, and resources for the creative teams.
  • Provide an accurate record of all decisions made in meetings and ensure the individuals and departments follow through to completion.
  • Gain an understanding of the client’s business and marketing objectives, category landscape, preparing competitive assessments based on the client.
  • Assist in producing and presenting client-ready reports for meetings and presentations.
  • Ensure deadlines are met.
  • Uphold agency and client core values.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Junior or Senior undergraduate pursuing a degree in marketing or related field.
  • Professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.
  • Project management and team contribution capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent time and calendar management skills.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced and pressured environments while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal teams.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow all standard agency policies and procedures.
