Digital Design Intern

Intern opportunity with a National Integrated Marketing Agency: We are seeking a spring Digital Design Intern to join our hybrid team in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This intern opportunity will contribute to large scale advertising campaigns that span across multiple different consumer facing digital platforms, apps, and social media. You’ll design digital experiences, contribute to UX workflows, create motion and video content, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. This internship is ideal for a Junior or Senior with strong digital design skills, proficiency in Figma or Adobe Creative Cloud, and a passion for user-centered design. You’ll gain real-world experience in UX, accessibility, and integrated agency workflows while contributing to meaningful client work. This is a paid, part-time position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design digital experiences for websites, landing pages, campaign microsites, emails, social content, and digital ads.
  • Support UX tasks such as creating user flows, rapid prototyping, or improving existing interfaces.
  • Produce high-quality visual and interaction design that aligns with brand strategy and elevates the user experience.
  • Edit short-form video and create motion graphics for social and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, strategists, developers, and project managers.
  • Apply accessibility (ADA/WCAG) best practices into design work.
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback and data-driven insights.
  • Deliver organized files, documentation, and assets to support dev handoff and production.
  • Testing and proofing the work of your peers.

Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior undergraduate pursuing a degree in Digital Design, UX/UI, Interactive Media, Digital Marketing, or a related field at an accredited educational institution; college, or university.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates digital design skills (web, mobile, interfaces, social content, or motion)
  • Proficiency in Figma and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere)
  • Video editing experience required.
  • Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills are required.
  • HTML/CSS familiarity, experience with CMS platforms, prototyping tools, or accessibility knowledge are a plus.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced and pressured environments while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines.
